General manga/anime rant(now with spoilers for SE)

Mon Apr 13, 2009, 1:05 PM
Hnn. Well, I saw the first episode of the new FMA anime. Pretty good so far, but I'll never get used to the sub voices. Also, Ed's hair looks weird. For that matter, Roy looks weird too. Hawkeye is dead-on, though. So to speak, no pun intended over there....
BUT ON THE SUPERUPSIDE, CHAPTER 60 OF SOUL EATER IS OUT. -spoilers-

MEDUSA IS BACK AND WORSE THAN EVER. WOOHOOO. I shouldn't be so excited but she's one of those love-to-hate characters that make such wonderful, wonderful villains. Also something happened to Chrona, apparently. -sob- I hope it gets back to normal. But what has it become, I wonder? Twisted to Medusa's will? A hollow shell? I note Ragnarok's spindly limbs. Perhaps something to do with Arachne...in any case, poor Chrona. It was fine how it was!

Also, the DGM dub is out! And I'm watching it!

-long ramble-
I'll be updating this rant slowly as I watch.

I DON'T LIKE THE EARL'S VOICE. D: Too harsh and scratchy and it needs hearts in it. That makes no sense. Hmm. Allen's should be shyer, as MMC has pointed out....but I think if the actor did that, he'd be a pretty good match. It's got the right high/low ratio.
This definitely seems the like type of cast "this would be okay if they'd just tweak it a hair or two". But OMG CHUCK HUBER AS REEVER IS THE AWESOME. SRSLY. <333 Also Kumoi's is also pretty awesome. Fits pretty well. I like Lenalee's also which is sort of sad because I'm not all that fond of her....
Kanda's is like Allen's: Okay, but needs some tweaking. A tad bit lighter, perhaps. Buuut I think it works okay...
I like Cross's voice. 8D And Hevlaska's. So soothing...
